You Can’t Help But Share Good News (Mark 1:40-45)!
I. The good news is meant to be preached (Mark 1:14; 21; 38). Psalms 68:11 says:
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth (Isaiah 52:7)!
And He said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth (Mark 1:38).
II. You can ask anything within the will of God and always get it vs. 40.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him ( 1 John 5:14-15).
A. You must ask in faith.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord (James 1:5-7).
B. You must include thanksgiving.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6).
III. If you are believing the good news, receiving the benefits that come from it and remain grateful, giving thanks for what God has done you cannot help but share it vs. 45.
But he went out and began to publish it much and to blaze abroad the matter insomuch that Jesus could not openly enter into the city (Mark 1:45).
IV. There are always three who are blessed when you share the gospel.
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him (Psalms 126:6).
Where is the blessedness you spoke of? I bear you record, that if it had been possible ye would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me (Galatians 4:15).
For this my son was dead and is alive again! He was lost but now is found (Luke 16:24).
